Rainford village now has a brand-new, state of the art gaming lounge for enthusiastic gamers, and the man behind it says that he's only been able to launch thefacility due to the support his PC business has received from the village since COVID hit. Businessman Neil Smith, who lives in Billinge, launched Tech Guys 360 Ltd back in 2018 after spending 20 years working for a blue-chip IT company. Tech Guys 360 offers a complete solution to anything IT-related, from computer problems to phone screen repairs to building PC's, and are based in Rainford Village Hall, above the Parish Council offices and Police station. When the first lockdown happened, Tech Guys 360 quickly implemented COVID-safe working practices and carried on trading. Neil takes up the story; "With many more people working from home, the demand for our services increased. As a result, our revenue has more than doubled since COVID hit:
Earlier this year another office became
available at Rainford Village Hall, and Neil grasped the opportunity to transform the office into a brand-new gaming lounge. For £5 an hour, gamers can enjoy a wide range of computer games on state-of-the-art gaming PC's. For someone trying out the gaming lounge for the first time, Tech Guys 360 offers a 'buy one hour, get one hour free'. Checks are in place to ensure that all gamers only get access to age-appropriate games, and any unused time will roll over until the next visit. Neil also hopes to attract business from those looking to organise events, "A birthday party in our gaming lounge would be a fabulous experience for any gamer and it's also an innovative option for anyone looking to organise a team building event: The PC Gaming Lounge is open 10.30am-6.30pm Monday to Saturday and the last booking is 5.30pm.
